The disciple of a wise man came in excitedly and told him "Teacher, a friend of yours was speaking wrongly about you. He said ...."

"Wait! interrupted the wise man man. Have you put through the three portals what you are about to tell me?"
"The Three portals?"queried the disciple
"Sure" answered the wise man. "The first portal is veracity. Are you sure what you are about to tell me is true?"

"Well" Said the disciple. " I heard neighborers commenting ."
"Aha! Then you put it through the second portal. Goodness. What you are about to tell me is good for someone." said the wise man.
"No not really" answered the disciple, "quite the contrary."
"Let see then, the third portal, "Said the wise man necessity. Is it necessary for you to tell me what you are about to tell me?"

"To say the truth, no" answered the disciple.

"Then said the wise man smiling." If it is not the truth, nor good neither necessary, then why are you going to tell me?"
Today i speak on behalf of the the sixteen principals that make up the Orange Walk Association of Catholic Principals of which I was the first president. It does not matter what type of teacher you are, we principals need to tell you that you are very important. We, are always appreciative of your work in our schools. It is because of your continuous dedication that the Catholic schools in our district and through out the country are the best. It is with your support that we were able to raise over thirteen thousand dollars needed to host the best so far 3rd Annual Gathering of Catholic Principals. It is with your support that our district management has given us that respect that we are due. Our relationship has changed from boss - worker to that of management - principal - teacher. Our cordial relationship with management has empowered us to be participant in the decision making process of our schools. This was achieved through the good leadership of the principals and your support, teachers. Both local and assistant Local managers as well as the General Manager have praised us. When we receive praise, you are also praised because you are part of us. Management has empowered us to chart our way forward by complementing their plans with ours. We principals and you teachers have made our schools what they are. We are doing well but there is still room for improvement. With your full support in all aspects of school matters we will be able to make meaningful changes to maintain us as the best schools in Belize. On behalf of principals and management, we are truthful when we say that it is good that you know that we need to tell you personally, thank you for your financial and moral support as well as your dedication for the years you have worked in our schools. Thank you for all the help yougave us to host the 3rd Annual Gathering of Catholic Principals. Thank you and may you have a pleasant and joyful summer holidays. May God bless you all. Thank You!!
