Transfers

The school year is coming to an end and a new school year begins in September. Please understand that as much as I would like to please and accommodate all the teachers who request transfers or would prefer to remain where they are, circumstances oblige me to do transfers which are not requested or not transfer those who request them.

Every school year, a fresh cohort of teachers come back from study leave and need to be posted in Orange Walk Town schools and readily accessible schools such as Palmar and San Pablo. Because of this, teachers are removed to place these incoming teachers. Another fact is that Orange Walk Town resident teachers are in the majority and not all of them can be posted in the Orange Walk Town. Some have been doing duty away from their home for many years while others have never been away from home. This gross inequity. So, new adjustments will have to be made to address this situation. Many are given special consideration because of medical reasons.

These constraints make the staffing exercise a difficult one and sometimes not to everybody's liking or convenience. However, please be assured that i give each and everyone due appraisal and consider them if these warrant top priority.

If i do not grant your special request, it is not because of indifference or insensitivity on my part. It is because I cannot at this point in time grant your request.
